AHEAD OF THE STORM

Ahead of the Storm is centered around the mindset of research, preparation, deliberate movement, and calm execution in harsh winter environments. Built around a winter ice climbing journey in Northern Ontario, the film explores the balance between adventure and discipline - following a lone explorer as preparation gives way to instinct deep within the elements. Shot over 3 days in deep snow, harsh winds, over frozen lakes, and in ice caves, the project combines immersive sound design, grounded storytelling, and tactile winter cinematography to create an authentic outdoor experience.
